Later in the week I was at the Polo open in Auckland - thank you BMW.  The final of the polo was outstanding with the seeded team being beaten on the day - a very hard and fast game - superb to watch.  My cousin was at the Rogue Society tent (gin is the main ingredient we discussed).  We got to talking about the story behind the recipe, the still and the bottle.  All really interesting stories.  And based on the smiling faces a nice drop.  

We did end up trying to make conversation with a couple that clearly didn't want to.  Normally I'd be stressed inside that I had offended them, was imposing in a world I don't belong, had stood on their pet or they noticed the strange twitch I've got - but not this time  they just left me feeling like they were rude and poorly dragged up. Guess I'm getting old and grumpy :-)
